Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources & Related Sciences (MANRRS)

What is MANRRS?

MANRRS is a student chapter of a national organization that provides students with an expanded network and social, professional and career building opportunities. Our MANRRS group holds biweekly meetings throughout the semester, gives back to the community through volunteer work, hosts social events, and attends the regional and national MANRRS conferences each year. The national MANRRS conference includes poster sessions, public speaking events, a career/internship fair, professional development workshop sessions and a wide array of networking opportunities. Students from any major at the University of Minnesota are welcome to participate in this organization. For more information about MANRRS, please email manrrs@umn.edu

The MANRRS Virtual Regional Clusters will be held on October 2-3, 2020. New Member Induction Ceremony and the Virtual Career Fair will be on October 9, 2020.

In collaboration with the CFANS Office for Diversity and Inclusion, MANRRS hosts the annual Multicultural Student Kick Off event for students of color in our college during the month of September each year. This event aims to foster a sense of community and belonging among all CFANS students of color with games, panel speakers, raffle prizes, and more. This year's Student Kick Off Event is TBD.
