Cultivating the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture
Ten students from across the country devoted their summer to exciting agricultural research through the SOAR-REEU program.
By Elena Mathern, BS ‘25, Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management
The SOAR-REEU program has once again highlighted the dedication and innovative spirit of undergraduate researchers from across the country. These students tackled pressing issues within the realms of sustainable agriculture and food systems, making strides toward practical solutions and advancing the understanding of complex environmental challenges.
The culmination of their efforts was showcased at the Summer Undergraduate Research Expo, where each student presented their findings to faculty, peers, and industry professionals. This program not only fosters academic growth but also builds a community of future leaders in sustainable agriculture, committed to making a positive impact on the world.
