Student group spotlight: Meet the Agricultural Education, Communication and Marketing Club
Get to know the club that coordinates the iconic All You Can Drink Milk Stand at the Minnesota State Fair.
The State Fair is right around the corner, so get to know the student group who will pour you a glass of milk to go with your bucket of cookies!
The Agricultural Education, Communication and Marketing (AECM) Club is the oldest club on the St. Paul Campus and is open to anyone and everyone interested in agricultural education, communication, marketing, and FFA; you don't have to be an Agricultural Education or Agricultural Communication and Marketing major. We work with the Minnesota FFA Association and host a Fall and Winter Invitational, as well as assist with the State Convention in the spring. Members may also have the opportunity to attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. For professional development, the club networks with other colleges across the state and maintains relationships with agricultural companies. Fantastic opportunities await you in the AECM Club!
Minnesota State Fair
The AECM Club works with Midwest Dairy each year to coordinate the iconic All You Can Drink Milk Stand at the Minnesota State Fair. They recruit volunteers from all over the state to staff the stand—shifts are now available!
Amara Livingston, BS '25 Agricultural Education, and Vice President of the AECM Club is this year's Milk Stand Manager. "As the Milk Stand Manager, I have the privilege to work with our volunteers from all over the state over the course of the '12 best days of summer' at the Minnesota State Fair. It is so fun to be a part of attendees' fair experience all while promoting the dairy industry," says Livingston.
Other Activities
In addition to the State Fair, the AECM club is involved in a number of other events throughout the year.
