Cloquet Forestry Center 5K Run/Walk

The Cloquet Forestry Center (CFC) annual fun run/walk is free and open to participants of all ages and fitness levels. Participants are welcomed to explore the forest on a 3.1 mile route along our unpaved forest roads. 

Our 2026 5K is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6 at 5:30 p.m. Registration opens at 5 p.m. at the Alumni Pavilion west of our main parking lot. Our street address is 175 University Rd, Cloquet, MN 55720.

The trail route is a relatively flat loop on our unpaved internal forest roads west of University Rd (County Rd 5). We are planning for the same course and clockwise direction as prior years.

We'll have a bonfire going at the finish line and Room at the Table will be on-site with flexible food options.

The CFC forest is also open year-round to public recreation that does not conflict with research activities. Please review our recreation and gathering guidelines before your visit.
