About Me
Hi there!
My name is Sophie and I’m a Student Engagement Coordinator for CFANS. I’m so glad you’re here!
I grew up in Bemidji, Minnesota and went to Hamline University for my undergrad where I earned my B.A. in Music and Social Justice. After that I earned my M.A. in Leadership in Student Affairs from the University of St. Thomas. As an undergraduate student, I worked in the theatre, in our orientation program, I was the president of Hamline Students for Reproductive Justice and founded our Zine Club. I held multiple internships focused in LGBTQIA+ community health, marketing and communications. For my senior capstone project, I created a podcast that told the stories of LGBTQIA+ people living in rural Minnesota.
I am an artist that participates in many mediums, most notably zine-making, photography, music, and sound design. My passions include cooking & eating, equitable education, fat liberation, laughing, artistic activism, and cultivating joy.
