Community of Scholars Program

The Community of Scholars Program (COSP) is a welcoming and inclusive community for Diversity of Views and Experiences (DOVE) Fellows and DOVE-eligible graduate students in research-based programs on the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses.

Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS)

MANRRS is a national student organization that provides students with an expanded network as well as social, professional, and career building opportunities. The organization holds an annual national conference with poster sessions, public speaking events and a career/internship fair.

Scholarships and Funding

The College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) is committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and offers several diversity of experience and views scholarships.

CFANS Graduate Student Diversity Fellowship

Supporting the development of a diverse student body is central to the mission of the CFANS. The Graduate Student Diversity Fellowship supports this mission by providing financial support to incoming, academically excellent students with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and/or a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

DOVE Fellowship Match

CFANS will support a second year of funding for all Diversity of Views and Experiences (DOVE) Fellowship graduate student recipients in CFANS programs. The matching fellowship includes a stipend along with tuition and health benefits. Learn more about the DOVE Fellowship offered by the UMN Graduate School.

MAELC Agricultural Education for All Scholarship

The Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council (MAELC) Agricultural Education for All Scholarship provides financial support for undergraduate and graduate students in the agriculture teacher field. To apply and learn more, visit this page.

The Josie R. Johnson Human Rights and Social Justice Award honors University of Minnesota faculty, staff, and students who exemplify Dr. Johnson’s commitment to creating respectful and inclusive living, learning, and working environments.

Outstanding Unit Award for Equity and Diversity

The Outstanding Unit Award for Equity and Diversity honors exemplary campuses, colleges, departments, or units that demonstrate leadership in equity and diversity work. The award highlights units that are working to bring transformational and sustainable change to the University of Minnesota.
