The Agricultural and Food Business Management (AFBM) program is a valuable and flexible business major. It’s offered by the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) and Minnesota Carlson. Students learn to combine economic logic with business acumen to solve real world agricultural management and marketing, food entrepreneurship, and sustainable food systems problems. With these two prominent colleges, students have access to more classes, faculty, and industry connections. Business analytics, entrepreneurial management, finance, marketing, or supply chain and operations management focus areas easily transition into Carlson minors. Students can also choose complementary CFANS minors: agronomy, animal science, corporate environmental management, food systems, and sustainability studies.

Graduates are prepared for employment opportunities such as finance and banking, business and supply chain management, commodity and food marketing, sales and procurement, public and industrial relations, economic and statistical analysis, managerial accounting, and management information systems.
