CFANS Student Ambassadors
Who are the ambassadors and what do they do?
The CFANS Ambassadors are undergraduate students in our college who are passionate about CFANS and sharing their experiences with others. These volunteer students are energetic, dedicated, and knowledgeable about CFANS and the University.
Ambassadors are involved with recruitment, retention, diversity, advancement, and alumni activities. Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Campus tours for prospective students and families
- Prospective student outreach and follow-up
- Student panel participation
- Alumni and donor meetings
- CFANS community engagement at various special events
- Community outreach throughout the Twin Cities
Applications for CFANS Ambassadors are currently open. Students who are in their second semester or higher in CFANS are welcome to apply. Follow the links below for more details.
What are the benefits of being a CFANS Ambassador?
Centered on having fun and building relationships with other CFANS students, being an ambassador means you'll have a positive impact on prospective students, alumni, and donors. You'll develop leadership skills and public speaking skills, and gain valuable experience for your resume. You'll also expand your network within CFANS, the University, and Minnesota communities.
What is the time commitment?
Your involvement is an annual commitment that takes place during fall and spring semesters. There will be an opportunity for renewal in the group each year. The time commitment is about eight to 10 hours per month, plus special events. Mandatory meetings are held once each month during the academic year.
