About Me

Hello Students!

I'm looking forward to working with you through your academic career here in CFANS! Prior to advising, I received my B.A. in Psychology and my M.S. in Education. My higher education experience has been varied, including residence life, career services, financial aid, student activities, and transfer advising and admissions.

When I'm not working, I love to travel (recent destinations include Iceland, Argentina, and Indonesia), go for a run (I'm a two-time marathon finisher), and explore the restaurant scene in the Twin Cities.

I am happy to talk to you about any of the majors for which I advise or other advising issues/questions you may have.

We are committed to providing a comfortable, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of our communities.

Advising Philosophy

As an advisor, I see myself as a navigator and a relationship builder. I love to travel, and as a student, college is a little like the ultimate journey. You are in charge of where you are going and how you will get there, but I am here to help you navigate through the University and your degree program. I’m here to point out detours along the way (maybe a great opportunity you hadn’t thought of!), develop a plan to get around obstacles, connect you with resources here at the University, and help you read the road map of higher education. To do that, I try to build strong relationships with my students and understand where you have been and where you want to go.
