UMN Headlines: July 2021

"UMN Headlines in 60 seconds" shares highlights of recent accomplishments by the University of Minnesota community. The July 2021 installment features two significant CFANS contributions to research — a project led by fisheries, wildlife and conservation biology assistant professor Gretchen Hansen, PhD, that uncovered that oxygen levels in the world’s freshwater lakes are declining at rates faster than in the oceans and a discovery made by forest resources regents professor Peter Reich, PhD, and others that grassland biodiversity could serve as a key factor in mitigating the climate crisis.
