Multiple CFANS Alumni Families Awarded 2023 Farm Family of the Year at 2023 FarmFest

Since 1979, the University of Minnesota’s Farm Family Recognition Program has picked one exceptional family from every county in Minnesota to be awarded the prestigious Farm Family of the Year Award. Local UMN-Extension committees in each MN country choose one family annually based on their outstanding dedication to the enrichment and support of agricultural development and their local community. 

Among the dozens of incredible families awarded this year, several CFANS alumni and their families were honored for their remarkable devotion to supporting agriculture and their communities. Join us in further celebration of these incredible CFANS alumni and their families during Farmfest 2023! These families will be formally recognized for their achievement in a ceremony beginning at 1:15 PM on Thursday, August 3. Minnesota Farmfest is held annually at the Gilfillan Estate near Redwood Falls, Minnesota. The Farm Family of the Year ceremony will be held in the Wick Buildings Farmfest Center on the estate grounds.
