CFANS undergraduate students in the "Food and Nutrition Management" course were busy making a difference this spring by adapting what they’ve learned into real world applications, resulting in tangible changes

These inspiring Food and Nutrition Management students recently showcased their work, and here are just a few highlights from their accomplishments:

  • Partnered with Penzeys Spices to donate spices to the UMN Nutritious U Food Pantry, filling an important gap in the pantry’s offerings
  • Educated high school athletes with valuable nutrition information to help them thrive and compete
  • Formed a food pantry for students on the U of M Twin Cities campus in St. Paul 
  • Initiated an educational campaign to inform the University community on how to correctly compost and recycle waste
