Wolves alter wetland creation and recolonization by killing ecosystem engineers

Researchers with the University of Minnesota's Voyageurs Wolf Project and Voyageurs National Park observed and demonstrated that wolves affect wetland ecosystems by killing beavers leaving their colonies to create new ponds.
