This computer lab is a University Student Computer Facility. Use of this computer lab is open to all University of Minnesota students.

CFANS students can use their Pharos print allocations at this U-wide student computer facility for black-and-white printing. Color printing is available, but students must use their GopherGold allocations to print to the color printer.

    FScN Departmental Computer/LCD Projector Checkout
    There are four laptop computers and two portable LCD projectors that are available for checkout for classroom/presentation purposes. All FScN classrooms and conference rooms (with the exception of 225G FScN) have been set up with permanent classroom management lectern systems and LCD projectors. Please check this equipment out through Sue Winkelman, swinkelm@umn.edu, 612-624-9755 in 225 FScN. If you are unfamiliar with the departmental laptops and/or presentation equipment, it is probably a good idea to try practicing setting the equipment up before the actual presentation date.

Microphone System

A wireless microphone is available for use at the front teaching station. The microphone is located in the locked closet in 35 Skok Hall. If you would like to use it, please call 1-HELP (612-301-4357) or write to help@umn.eduand ask for Tier 2 CFANS support to make sure someone is available to unlock the cabinet when you plan to use the microphone.

Projector System

The computer lab has an overhead projector which connects to the desktop in the front of the room and allows for a laptop to be connected to it. There are six ceiling mounted speakers that provide sound from the desktop or when plugging in a laptop in the front of the room.
