Courses, Workshops & Training

Student Workshops

There are opportunities each semester for undergraduate and graduate students to build community and learn more about our office and other University resources. Registration will be required for each event.  After registration, a confirmation email will be sent with detailed information to attend the event. Please submit any questions to odicfans@umn.edu.

CFANS ECHO (Equity Certificate Hosted Online)

The University’s Office for Equity and Diversity (OED) developed and also facilitates an Equity and Diversity Certificate Program that is offered fully online. It is referred to as the ECHO (Equity Certificate Hosted Online) program. CFANS offers the same ECHO certificate experience but in an environment in which participation includes only CFANS staff and faculty. The CFANS ECHO program is unique in that participants move through a series of 10 training courses as a cohort while building community with their colleagues from across the CFANS community. The ECHO program helps participants develop tools necessary for advancing equity and diversity in all aspects of their professional and personal lives.

Deans Engaged Leaders Program (DELP)

DELP provides an exciting opportunity for incoming first-year CFANS students who are committed to developing their potential as leaders in a multicultural society. This seminar is for whose who have a commitment to diversity and leadership in urban, rural, and natural environments.
