CFANS Diversity Community of Practice

About the CFANS Diversity Community of Practice

Managed by the CFANS Office for Diversity & Inclusion, this group meets once per month for 90 minutes on the last Friday of the month to engage in learning and stay connected.  The first 30 minutes are designated for CFANS DEI committee or office updates, while the remaining hour is dedicated to anti-racism professional development.

DCoP membership is voluntary. The DCoP is different from the Committee for Diversity and Inclusion.  Some members are formally part of a CFANS departmental diversity committee, others have voluntarily stepped into this role and are leaders in these efforts within CFANS. Each member serves as a representative of their department or office. Members are asked to bring issues and considerations from their department or office for brainstorming solutions or discussion and to convey lessons learned through participation in the CFANS DCoP to their departments.
