Wrapping up 2024 Give to the Max Day
November 26, 2024
Each year, the University of Minnesota hosts the popular Give to the Max Day. The University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF) rallies the University community to help support causes ranging from student organizations, education programs, research, scholarships and community support funds.
We're proud to share that our College Give to the Max Day campaign for the CFANS Student Emergency Fund raised $6,500 through 31 donors, meeting a $3,500 match! This means in total we raised $10,000 for the CFANS Student Emergency Fund.
Across all College fundraisers, nearly 2,000 donors gave to CFANS on Give to the Max Day, and through gifts, prizes, and matches we raised more than $160,000 for a variety of causes:
- Emergency funds for CFANS students
- The CFANS Mentor Program
- Travel funds for graduate students in Plant Pathology
- Winter research on wolves in Voyageurs National Park
- Rising Agriculturalist Internships at the WCROC
- Experiential learning opportunities for students in Forest Resources
- Science and Nature STEM Kits by the Bell Museum
- And more!
Thank you to all our Give to the Max Day donors in CFANS! Through this generosity, our students find support to focus on their studies when going through unprecented, unexpected challenges in their lives.
