Bell Museum 150th Anniversary

January 2022 through January 2023

The Bell Museum celebrates 150 years beginning January 2022. The yearlong celebration will feature different experiences that showcase the rich and varied history of the museum. Visitors are invited to engage with each new experience as The Bell Museum commemorates this exciting milestone.
 


Let's Talk Plants

June 18 through October 29, 10 AM ​- 4 PM Saturdays

Visit with Master Gardener Volunteers, who can answer questions about gardens, trees, lawns and landscape.


AppleHouse

August 25 through October 31, 10 AM - 6 PM daily

Kick off apple season at the birthplace of the Honeycrisp at the Arboretum’s AppleHouse. Parking and admission are free. Arboretum members receive a 10% discount with their membership card on AppleHouse purchases.


Scarecrows in the Garden

September 17 through October 31

The popular Scarecrows in the Gardens adds a festive note to the Arboretum’s autumn displays on the Dahlberg Terrace and Scarecrow Hill. Check out the artistry of the experts from Bachman’s, Arboretum staff and members of the community.


Friends of the Andersen Horticultural Library Book Sale

September 23 - September 25, 10 AM​ - 4 PM

Shop for used books, CDs and DVDs in a wide variety of subjects. This sale, organized by the Friends of the Andersen Horticultural Library, typically raises between $10,000-$12,000 for the library.


TEDxMinneapolis

September 24, 4 PM - 10 PM

Every day, we wake up to challenges within us and between us. This event is about open conversation, shared discovery, and embracing a clear-eyed sense of hope. CFANS Professor and Entomology Department Head Sujaya Rao, PhD, hopes to gather support for eating bugs as a more sustainable way of feeding the global population.

Learn to be a climate-ready gardener in this online, at-your-own-pace module developed by the University of Minnesota Extension. You will learn online and at your own pace through videos, links to learn more, activities and discussion boards.
