Virtual Behind-the-Scenes: Cloquet Forestry Center

Wednesday, August 19, Noon - 1 PM

The University of Minnesota Cloquet Forestry Center (CFC) is a 3,391 acre portion of the University of Minnesota’s Experimental Forest land base. On this virtual tour, Kyle Gill, Forest Manager and Research Coordinator, will introduce you to the CFC’s applied research, teaching, and outreach activities and long-term forest stewardship actions.

The virtual tour will walk and fly you through Camp 8 (a portion of the forest with 210 year old red pine trees), B4WarmED (an intensive experiment exploring how tree and soil communities respond to changes in climate), and other sites. Questions and discussion will be welcomed.

Virtual Bulldogs Behind the Scenes tours are open to all alumni and friends. These events are family friendly. Registration is free. The virtual tour will be recorded live, and uploaded to YouTube for later viewing.

Presented by the Cloquet Forestry Center and Virtual Bulldogs Behind the Scenes.
