Give to the Max Day

Give to the Max Day is Minnesota’s giving holiday. It's a special 24-hour period to highlight the work and worth of nonprofits and schools all across Minnesota, and a day for generous Minnesotans to give back what they can to the causes and organizations that mean the most to them, like CFANS.

This year, CFANS is raising money for study abroad scholarships. Do you remember the first time you went to another country? How was it different? What felt familiar? What did you learn?

Study abroad experiences are transformative. They open up a student’s perspective and give them the opportunity to learn things they never could at home. Studying abroad can improve student GPAs, increase retention and graduation rates, foster intercultural understanding, and help students develop career skills.

Right now, studying abroad isn’t possible for everyone. Though 92% of freshmen say they want to participate in a study abroad program, only 25% of graduating CFANS seniors leave with study abroad experience.
