GopherCorn U-Pick
Tuesday and Wednesday, August 5–6, 2025 - 4–5 p.m.
The University of Minnesota Plant Breeding Center is hosting two U-pick events for GopherCorn, a sweet corn variety that showcases the U of M school colors.
In this event, Rex Bernardo will talk about plant breeding at the U, describe how GopherCorn was developed, and guide you to a sweet corn field where you can pick some ears of GopherCorn to bring home.
A ticket is required for each person. Get your free tickets to one of two U-pick events:
- Tuesday, August 5, 4–5 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 6, 4–5 p.m.
Families are welcome. Directions to the specific location on the Saint Paul campus will be emailed to the registrants.
In case of bad weather, a given U-pick event might need to be rescheduled.
